I have been experimenting with scratchboard and I really enjoy this process. It is a board made with masonite and covered in a fine layer of clay-like substance, then coated with coated with black India ink. I draw into it with a scalpel.

This image is 250mm x 205mm, varnished with archival varnish.

This would look perfect set in a floating frame.
